Connect COBOL(IMS) and JAVA using MQ-Series.

I'm trying to connect COBOL (IMS) with MQ-series and then link that to the web.I want to do this in CA-Realia a simulated environment.If it is successful I'll implement that in the Mainframe test region.

CA-Realia(Developed by Computer Associates) is an environment that simulates Mainframes.In CA-Realia we can (if you do not know!!!)develop COBOL applications with IMS,CICS etc.

So, is it technically feasible to connect CA-Realia COBOL,MQ-Series and a java application.
Pls clarify my doubt so that I can start with the next step.
